Pediatric Occupational Therapy

Rebecca is a registered Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), licensed in the state of Florida and certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. She is an active member of the American Occupational Therapy Association as well as the Florida Pediatric Alliance. In 2001, she graduated Summa Cum Laude from Florida International University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. 

Rebecca has worked with developmentally delayed children and adults throughout the lifespan with a variety of diagnoses including Autism Spectrum Disorder, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, prematurity, ADHD, genetic syndromes, learning disabilities, Dyslexia, and CVA among others. She specializes in early intervention (birth to 3) and has a passion for all areas of functional development.
She has completed a variety of continuing education courses and is experienced with direct clinical intervention in the areas of Myofascial Release, Cranial Sacral Therapy, Neurodevelopmental Techniques, Sensory Integration, visual/ocular motor skills, feeding therapy, sensory vs. behavior treatment techniques, Wilbarger Brushing Protocol, Handwriting Without Tears, Therapeutic Listening, Pediatric Yoga Techniques, Brain Gym, and assistive technology.

Kathlyn is a bilingual Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed in the state of Florida and certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. She is an active member of the Florida Occupational Therapy Association as well as the American Occupational Therapy Association. She actively seeks out continuing education courses that will expand her skill set and keep her up to date on the latest evidenced-based treatment techniques and strategies. 

Originally from Pennsylvania, she and her family relocated to Central Florida in 2008. She received her Associate's Degree in occupational therapy from Daytona State College in May 2015 and began working with the pediatric population soon afterwards. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Health Education and Promotion at the University of Florida and plans to continue her education to earn her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy. 

On a personal note, Kathlyn loves to read, sing, dance, and travel. She also enjoys spending quality time with her husband, two children, and English Bulldog. Kathlyn’s personal philosophy is to live well, laugh often, and love deeply.


Carolyn is a Pediatric Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed in the state of Florida and certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. 

Originally from New Jersey, Carolyn relocated to Florida with her family in 1997. She graduated with honors and was awarded an Associate’s Degree from Daytona State College’s Occupational Therapy Assistant program in 2015. 

Carolyn joined our therapy team in January 2016 and really enjoys working with the pediatric population. 

On a personal note, Carolyn enjoys being outdoors and spending time with her family. One of her favorite quotes is: “Every child is gifted. They just unwrap their packages at different times”.

Karen is a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed in the state of Florida and certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. 

She graduated from the Occupational Therapy Assistant program at Becker College in Worcester, Massachussetts in May of 1986 and earned her board certification in August of that same year. 

Karen has over 30 years of experience in the occupational therapy field and has worked in a variety of clinical settings including skilled nursing facilities, school systems, and home health. 

She has been a member of teaching panels for college level Occupational Therapy Assistant programs since 1999 and has performed clinical supervision for Level I/II fieldwork students from Adventist University of Health Sciences’ OTA program since 2001. 

On a personal level, Karen is a single parent of adult-aged twins – Sean and Mariah – and enjoys spending her free time with friends and family. She is also interested in anything that promotes the field of occupational therapy. Her personal motto: Always find time for the things that make you happy to be alive!



Marieliz is a bilingual Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed in the state of Florida and certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. 

She was awarded an Associate’s Degree in 2008 from the University of Puerto Rico’s Occupational Therapy Assistant program and worked with the pediatric population for three years before relocating to Florida with her husband in 2012. After taking some time off to start a family, Marieliz secured her Florida license and board certification and resumed working with the pediatric population in 2015. 

Marieliz is a compassionate therapist who loves to serve others and cannot imagine herself in another career. She is fascinated by sensory issues and often seeks out the latest 
evidenced-based treatment techniques and strategies for sensory integration. She would love to obtain certification in arts and sensory integration and is considering pursuing her Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy in the future. 

On a personal level, Marieliz enjoys spending time outdoors, picnics at the beach, reading, music, singing at her church, and quality time with her husband and children.



Maria is a bilingual Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed in the state of Florida and certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. She was awarded an Associate’s Degree in 2010 after graduating from Keiser University’s Occupational Therapy Assistant program. In December of 2016, she graduated from University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports and Exercise Science. Maria plans to enroll in St. Augustine University’s Master of Occupational Therapy program in August of 2017. 

Maria is an energetic and caring therapist with experience working with the pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations. 

On a personal note, Maria is very passionate about fitness and nutrition. Despite her busy schedule, she always makes time to visit the gym.

Melanie is a Registered Occupational Therapist licensed by the state of Florida and certified by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. She has experience working in the public school system as well as pediatric home health.  

Melanie is a native Floridian who graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in Occupational Therapy. 

On a personal note, Melanie has two adult children who both live in the Central Florida area. She enjoys bird watching, camping, going to Disney, playing handbells, and helping with Special Needs ministries such as the Buddy Break program at her church.



Paula is a bilingual Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant licensed in the state of Florida and certified by a National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy. 

She is originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina and has been living in Florida for the past 20 years. She graduated from Keiser University in 2016 and is always seeking the latest evidence-based practice techniques to expand her knowledge and skill set. 

She is an active member of the autism community and Center for Autism and Related Disabilities at UCF. She is very passionate and caring therapist who looks forward to making a difference in every child’s life that she touches.





Jaime was awarded her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Central Florida in 2004 with a focus on Marketing. After a successful 12-year career in Retail Management, she decided to pursue a career within the healthcare industry. Jaime spent 2 years working for Florida Hospital’s Centra Care Marketing Department before joining the wonderful team at Orlando Children’s Therapy in May 2013. 

On a personal note, Jaime has two children and enjoys reading, photography, and art.




Originally from Pennsylvania, Erika relocated to the Central Florida area in 1999. She graduated from high school in 2011 and held jobs in the food service and retail industries for several years before deciding to pursue a job in the healthcare field. She joined the Orlando Children’s Therapy team in January 2017 and plans to begin her college education during the fall of 2017. 

On a personal note, Erika enjoys traveling, fashion, makeup, shopping, visiting the beach, and spending time with her family and pitbull named Zeus. 

One of her favorite bible verses is “We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” – Hebrews 6:19.
